It’s approaching, the no.1 holiday for consumerism. Frugal Chic girlies know how to shop smart and find the right kind of deals.

Now, some of you requested I do a Frugal Chic Black Friday Guide. I don’t want to be promoting overconsumption, but equally, frugal chic girlies shop smart and rarely pay full price, as long as you’re being intentional.
After my decluttering frenzy recently which i’ve documented on my short form platforms and I decided to use that money I raised from selling my old things to buy one really beautiful piece I would cherish. I tried to let go of the following:
Anything that made me feel juvenile or wouldn’t help me be taken seriously (think skimpy mini skirts or crop tops)
Synthetic fibres. Now don’t get me wrong, there’s some exceptions like gym wear or the occasional item I couldn’t part ways with
Frumpy garments that made me feel like Adam Sandler.
You get the picture.
I got rid of ten pieces and bought one which just tickles my minimalist, capsule wardrobe propaganda-believing brain.
I used this money to go towards my Black Friday purchase which was a dress from Réalisation Par. I had wanted one for years after seeing every it-girl promoting them, Devon Lee Carlson you name it. They’re 100% silk and you guys know I love my natural fibres. For so long I couldn’t take the plunge on the £200+ price point. I had literally made a TikTok saying it was on my wish list in August 2024, so it’s safe to say it was a considered purchase.

So in no particular order, I think the following make sensible purchases this Black Friday:
Bedding, you have it forever, and shelling out full price just feels painful. Invest in cotton, linen and breathable fibres. My favourite has to be these waffle ones from good old Marks and Spencer’s.
Cashmere and wool, investing in luxurious natural fibres that truly keep you warm. I recently got these turtlenecks from H&M premium and I’ve already had so many compliments.
Wardrobe basics, a sturdy leather bag, a quality white tee or jeans that fit you perfectly.
Skincare devices: usually I would see these as a fad but I was recently proven wrong by Therabody. They started out making fitness and wellness tools so I somehow trust this more than a beauty first brand. I love the Mask Glo. I much prefer skincare purchases that are reusable instead of products you have to keep repurchasing.
Investing in your future: A non-fashion one but XTB are actually giving away a free Rolls Royce stock when you sign up. It’s got limited availability and ends on 30th November. (AD capital at risk, subject to availability)
So this Black Friday, we’re being super intentional and buyign things that will last.
That’s all from this week,
Mia x
